Independent budgeting, in development

A payday plan.
A clearer week.

Project Squirrel is exploring a simple question: after planning for bills and future costs, what could you set aside for everyday spending each week?

The intended approach brings income dates, regular commitments and weekly spending into one understandable plan. It is being developed independently; this website introduces the work, rather than offering a live financial service.

  1. 01 / Payday

    Start with when money arrives

Plan around expected income dates and amounts. An expected payday is a planning assumption, not money confirmed in your account.

  2. 02 / Commitments

    Make room for bills first

Account for regular bills and planned costs before estimating spending money. Savings and occasional expenses are part of the intended planning approach.

  3. 03 / Your week

    See a weekly spending plan

Explore a weekly amount with clear assumptions and shortfall warnings. A forecast is not a bank-verified balance or a guarantee of affordability.

From the development desk

A look at the work.

These are development previews from our independent prototype, using synthetic example data. They illustrate the direction; screens and calculations may change before any public release.

Where things stand

A project, before a product.

Available here

Information about the independent project, development previews and a way for rights holders or people with relevant introductions to contact us.

In development

Private budgeting prototypes and planning calculations covering income, commitments and weekly spending. These are development work, not publicly available features.

Not publicly launched

No public budgeting accounts, bank connections, payment services, money transfers or automated allocations are offered through this site. There is no public signup or waitlist.

Before a future release

Further validation, security and privacy work are needed. Any household functionality also requires specialist safety review before public release. No release date is promised.

A few useful answers.

Is this the original Squirrel service?

No. Project Squirrel is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original company. We are seeking contact with relevant rights holders.

Can I use Project Squirrel to manage money today?

No public budgeting service is available. The previews show work in development, not an account you can open or money you can move.

Why is there no company history here?

We do not want to speculate about ownership, asset purchases or the status of intellectual property. We welcome verifiable information from the people involved.
